MIG Welder, Ferndown, up to £15ph
Purpose

As a welder, you will be an integral part of our clients production team who are responsible for maintaining large machinery and equipment. This hands-on role will involve using MIG welding techniques, reading technical drawings, conducting fitting and assembly tasks, and ensuring the product is to the required standard.

Responsibilities
As a welder, your responsibilities will include:
- MIG welding on large, heavy duty projects
- Operating fabrication machinery
- Supporting several projects at any given time, each of which is likely to vary in scale and urgency
- Stripping, fitting and assembling a variety of projects which vary in size
- Basic inspection of completed parts
- Adhering to health and safety requirements at all times
- General housekeeping duties
Background
As a welder, you will have:
- Previous welding (MIG) or fabricator experience from either a professional or hobbyist environment
- Understanding of technical drawings and be able to interpret safety instructions, specifications, and manuals
- High attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as a team
- Residence within sensible distance to our customers’ site as relocations won’t be considered
- Consistent work history and employers we can obtain references from
