1st Line Support Service Desk Technician,

Poole, Up to £27,500 (which includes a 20% uplift for working shifts)
40 hours a week – Shifted

A world leading manufacturing company delivering technology solutions across the globe is looking for a 1st Line Service Desk Technician to provide technical support for their customers. This is a full time position including some unsociable hours.
This well-established thriving business, whose products are located across major cities worldwide, requires you as the First-Line Service Technician to act as the first point of contact for all customers and provide high quality assistance.

Key responsibilities:
– Monitor the first line queue for new incidents and requests
– Carry out support via phone, email and some remote support
– Build strong relationships with key internal and external customers
– Provide support for other areas of the business including sales, projects, engineering and field services
– Carry out diagnostic tests, check and fix incidents logged by customers
– Work in a support team delivering remote support covering 0530-2300 between you on a rotating shift, totalling 40 hours per week.

You’ll have:
– at least one year’s experience within a customer facing IT support position
– a passion and enthusiasm for technology and solving technical issues
– strong technical understanding of Microsoft applications
– an understanding of ITIL practices (advantageous)
– the ability to learn quickly and communicate technical issues to a variety of seniority and technical levels in a clear, professional manner

Salary – £25K – £27,500 inclusive of shift allowance
Covering shifts of 5.30am – 4pm & 1pm – 11.30pm (evenings & weekends)
