This new opportunity is the direct result of growth and our client is looking to add an additional Design Engineer to complement the existing members of the team of their well-established design team.
Our client’s products are manufactured from a range of materials including aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel sheet and tube, wood and plastics. Using a wide range of processes including CNC machinery, MIG, TIG, Plasma, Spot welding, polishing, powder coating, upholstery and assembly. You will have the opportunity to gain experience, skills and knowledge in probably the widest range of manufacturing processes you will find anywhere in Dorset.
The design department have a leading role within the business; and as a Design Engineer, you will have responsibilities, including:
- Working on complex projects varying from developing new products and altering existing products
- Liaising with stakeholders to develop designs and see their full life cycle threw effectively
- Ensuring all designs are correctly maintained and process design changes efficiently
Your skills and experience will include:
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidedge and Solidworks – or another relevant CAD system
- Product design and development experience
- An exceptional understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically fabrication
