AT RUBICON, OUR RECRUITMENT APPROACH IS THAT OF A CONSULTANCY RATHER THAN AN AGENCY…
The difference is significant as consulting involves qualified & experienced Recruiters spending time with candidates and clients to gain a full understanding of individual needs so that only suitable introductions are made. Our teams understand that it can be a daunting experience to search for the right job so providing advice and support, throughout the entire recruitment process, is a very welcome part of our service.
Providing a full service to clients, including the provision of both permanent employees and temporary workers, enables us to often offer our candidates short-term assignments and interim roles whilst more appropriate permanent career opportunities are sought.
Our Permanent Placements division places candidates across the south coast whilst Temp workers are all managed from our Poole and Bournemouth recruitment centres.
Rubicon employs an engaged workforce that is culturally aligned to deliver extremely high levels of service to the people we serve and to each other.
Our purpose, core values, professional competence, high standards, innovative candidate attraction methods and reputation overlay a collective sense of fun and togetherness that reflects our sense of “family” and commitment to support and develop each individual and team at Rubicon.
We maintain high professional standards whilst keeping happiness and positivity core to our cultural identity.
OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS...
TOUCH ON HISTORY…
The idiom “Crossing the Rubicon” means to pass a point of no return and refers to Julius Caesar’s army’s crossing of the river on 10th January 49 BC, which was considered an act of revolution against the Roman senate. It was at the banks of the Rubicon that Caesar uttered the famous phrase “alea iacta est” – “the die is cast”. Once the Rubicon was crossed there would be no going back for the ambitious General or his army and defeat in Rome would have meant almost certain death and ignominy for all.
The relevance of this piece of history is twofold. When Jocelyn & Lloyd left high ranking executive appointments, within a well-established corporate organisation, to acquire a small Dorset based recruitment agency on the south coast, they were taking a decisive step from which it would have been very difficult to retreat successfully from. Also, when candidates are offered their next career step our Consultants are consciously aware that each is often also making a career decision involving the crossing of their own “Rubicon”.
Our company name and footprint logo are constant reminders for us to take seriously the importance of the roles we play in people’s lives.
