Adapability, Communication, Client focus, Results orientation, problem solving & judgement, Organisational awareness, Teamwork.

And for management positions we also assess these management specific competencies:

Developing others, Impact & influence, Innovation, Leadership, Relationship building, Resource management, Self management, strategic thinking

ability.   Over 85% of hiring decisions are based almost exclusively on these criteria as this is very much the easiest area to assess, score and match against tangible business/task needs.

However, as new recruits tend not to leave organisations owing to failings in these areas - we have adopted an approach that does not rely solely here for candidate selection.

We obtain understanding of the Key Performance Objectives for each position alongside the criteria that will constitute success within each role.   Candidates' experience, skills, formal qualifications, certificates etc are all then assessed to determine whether these specific objectives can be achieved.
